It's Back to School they go!

I know all you mom's out there are doing your "Happy Back to School" dance!!

Here in Michigan, schools don't start (most of them) until AFTER the Labor Day Holiday.  Tourism is one of our summer biggies, so the kids go back after one of the last 'official' summer holidays.

I thought I'd share with you some neat digi-images created by Taylor, daughter of my best friend Shelly, of Shelly's Images.  She draws just like her mom and these super cute back to school images are a few of hers.

This card was created for my summer pen pal Claire.  Like all the other kids, she's headed  back to school on Tuesday, but I thought I'd send her a cutie before she starts hittin' the books again.

Today we're actually seeing some MUCH lower humidity, lower temps and a lovely day!  Sure looking forward to some Grilled chicken Stir-fry on the grill tonight.  Mmmmmmmmm!

Whew - what a good cause!

What a busy few days!  We've been crazy busy doing projects projects and more projects. 

Friday we stained the deck (most of it), picked up our veggie plants & herbs.  Saturday we finished staining the deck, planted all the veggies and herbs.  Today, we just got back a bit ago from my mom and dad's.  We worked on the deck, got the garden tilled up, sweated our butts off and enjoyed family and friends!  Whew!

I wanted to share a little about where this card is going -

McKenzie is a young woman that had been diagnosed with MS.  You can read more about her story on Doodle Dragon Studios Blog.  This card is headed off as a bit of encouragement for this young girl.  And what teenage girl wouldn't be encouraged by a sassy pair of zebra heals?!

Tuesday Tutorial

Chocolate Bunnies and Easter Eggs Oh My!

Can I tell you how much I love Easter?  I love that SPRING is right around the corner.  I love watching the kids hunt for Easter Eggs.  I love new traditions Glen and I have started - Coloring eggs together is one that makes me smile.  And truth be told, I really LOVE the Easter Candy!  YUMMO!  Cadbury Eggs (original or orange) and the Mini-Eggs are my vices!  My mouth is watering just thinking about that.  Mmmmmmm.

Okay, enough Easter Candy talk (more to come I'm sure in the coming weeks!!)  But when you see this super cute Bugaboo Stamps Bunny Image, you'll understand!  This is a freebie Jodie was kind enough to share Here.  She is just so generous with her freebies!  Head over to SNR and get yours - join the group and stay ontop of all the great new images.  She just added more to her store yesterday (and believe me, they are adorable)!
