CELEBRATE!

We needed a birthday card for my hubby's God Daughter.  She's celebrating a birthday next week, and for once it seems like I'm actually working ahead (I know, can you believe it?!)  HA HA!
And isn't this just the cutest card?!
It's even cuter in person (it's got lots of sparkle and bling on the image)
Papers - Coredinations (brown/pink), Stash Cardstock (Yellow, Green & Pink), yummy stripes & treats - of course I'm drawing a blank on the manfg - I picked it up at Archivers a few weeks ago.
Cuttlebug - D'Vine Swirl & Swiss Dots
Technique - Magic Colored Pencil Technique
Punch - Fiskars Apron Punch
Miscellaneous - Crushed Velvet Lime Ribbon, Studio G Celebrate Stamp, Hand Doodling, Stickles & Dimensionals
I had so much fun working on this card today!  Now back to more of the Easter Cards.
Thanks for stoppin' by today!  Hope you all had a tolerable Monday!

The Nice Nurse....

Happy March 1st!  Can you believe it's already March?!  WOW!  This was a quickie I did for my dad the other day (mom and I have been coloring LOTS of digi-images over the last 12 days and this was one).
I can't say we saw any nurses like this one ( but how darn funny is she??)  All my dad's nurses and doctors were just amazing - what special people they all are.
In anycase, dad got a chuckle.  The inside says - The NICE nurse is on VACATION!
Image - Bugaboo Stamps (They have some of the funniest images - I love their funny ladies - Stella, Ruby & JJ - Stella's Working stamps that talk about Monday are hysterical!  Be sure to check out their great images!!)
Technique - Magic Colored Pencil Technique
Papers - All Cardstock - Core'dinations (Red & Black), blue is the color of the card
Cuttlebug - Swiss Dots embossing folder
Miscellaneous - Star brads & 'Sorry' letters from my stash
So, that's about all for today.  I'm hoping to get back into my studio tonight.  I made a stop at Archivers yesterday and picked up a few things - my nephew Colin and his mom Amy had gotten me a gift certificate for Christmas to there, and it's been burning a hole in my pocket.  I've been looking at the Score-Pal forever and finally picked one up (plus I had a 40% off gift certificate - how could I not?!)  Anyway, I also got a few new prints and embellies to do some pages for my niece.  Her momma has been takin' some great baby photos, so I need to get going!
Happy Monday to you all - happy craftin' today!

Gettin' Ready for Happy Heart Day!

I thought I'd share a few quick cards I did for Valentine's Day.  I still have several more to make, but this is the start - I did my hubby's first, but can't show you that until Valentines Day (I don't want him to stop by and have the surprise ruined!)  ;o)
The Love 14 'stamp' is one of the Cuttlebug embossing folders/die combos that I've had in my drawer and what better reason to use it than 'Heart' Day. :o)

Everything that was used is from my stash - paper, cardstock, embossing folders, ribbon, dimensionals and ink.  And of course, I can't for the life of me remember what font I used on the front.  DOH!
Hope you're having a happy craftin' kind of day!

Just a rowdy little cowboy birthday card I thought I'd share with you.  After making Colin's Purple Dino-four birthday card and having WAY too much fun making it, I thought I'd give another one a shot.

All paper used is from my scrappy basket (Black, White, Brown, Yellow & Red).

It's even cuter in person!  I'm so pleased with the way it turned out!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today and taking a look!
Hope you're having a fabulous crafty kinda day!
Tonight is assembly night for 29 little goodie bags (The world series starts tonight and I've got to have something to do while we're watching it).  :)

Birthday Calories Don't Count!!!

A word of wisdom to remember the next time you celebrate a birthday!
We have a bunch of September birthdays - my dear friends Amy and Sue, my mom and Aunt Mary.  So, when it comes to birthdays, it always involves some sort of yummy celebratory goodie.
So, of course, to celebrate a birthday - you've got to do it in yummy style!
This is a stamp set I picked up in the spring at Archivers - It hadn't seen ink until this week.  I couldn't post these cute little cards until I gave them to Amy & Sue today.
Plus, this was a perfect card for the Scrap-Friendzy challenge Cheryl gave us.  It was a  bonus challenge - make a Brightly Colored Card.
If you haven't checked out the Scrap-Friendzy challenges for this month, come on over and join us.  You won't be sorry!! :o)  Click here and stop by for a visit.
Didn't they turn out cute? (You can click on the image to get a better look at it).
Image/Sentiment - Stampendous
Paper - American Crafts (from my stash)
Ink - Black Starzon and Pumpkin Spice (Stampin' Up)
Hand Doodling & Magic Colored Pencil Technique
Stickles - Fruit Punch & Diamond
On the Inside I used Cuttlebug embossing folders: D'vine Swirl & Swiss Dots
Thanks for stopping by today!!
Hope you're having a terrific weekend!  We sure are here - our Michigan Wolverines beat Notre Dame this afternoon - so needless to say everyone in our house is hoarse from hootin' & hollerin'.  Gonna be a quiet Sunday watching NFL football.
Happy Craftin'!

Busy Busy Busy

Gosh, things around our house have been keeping us hopping for the past week or so. I've had a few side jobs I've been working on and then I've been trying to complete a few personal projects as well.
So, here is one of my personal projects. Glen's cousin, her daughter and son live about an hour away from us and Claire occasionally sends us notes. During the summer, we're pen pals - because it's always nice to open the mailbox and have HAPPY MAIL! She is a doll. She makes us cards for holidays (yep, this is my crafty kid buddy!) Imagine our surprise when we got a note in the mail on Friday from her. She got ALL A's on her report card this semester, is playing soccer now and having a great time doing it. I thought this House Mouse stamp was perfectly sweet to make a card with and send to her with a note of how proud we are of her.
So, here's the final product.
House Mouse Stamp: Apple Delight
Cardstock: Packaged Pre-striped Red Card & Envie
Accent Cardstock: Black metallic swirl & Light Blue
Heart Buttons & Flower Ribbon from my stash
Tonight I'm working on one of the chipboard albums I was hired to do and then onto a Thinking of You card and 8 Easter cards for the kids. Need to get on the ball there and get those done and into the mail. :o) Sure hoping to make a bit of creative progress this week now that our Spring Cleaning is complete (even though Momma Nature threw us a curve ball last afternoon and gave us 2" of snow).
Thanks for stoppin' by today - Happy Craftin'!
