Stella Says Sketch at Bugaboo Stamps

So I got to spend yesterday crafty scrappin' and card makin' with my mama and her friend Sue.
What a great time we had!  Of course, when my mama comes, we always put together some sort of pot lucky kind of dinner.  Sue brought this awesome salad that she got at Costco (baggged salad) that had kale (which I don't eat on a regular basis), broccoli, thinly sliced brussel sprouts, cranberries, pumpkin seeds a few other green lettucy items and poppyseed dressing.  If you can't tell by me describing everything in it, it was FABULOUSLY YUMMY!!!
Can you guess what my midnight snack was last night?  =)
So, onward to Miss Stella -
Stella's at it again at The Bug Blog with this weeks Stella Says Sketch challenge!
Here's my take on this week's Stella Sketch - a little St. Patty's Day card for one of the kiddos in the family.

LUCKY LUCKY!

How can you not be lucky with the purple dragon and his pot of gold?  The Seasons Dragons from Doodle Dragon Studios are just too perfect - especially for my nephew and his current love for dinosaurs (I know it's a dragon, but to a 4 1/2 year old its close enough :)  The cool thing is that Doodle Dragon Studios Challenge Blog is having a contest and you have until this Saturday to participate.  You can check it out here - Make a LUCKY card or St. Paddy's card.
This is the first St. Paddy's Day card I've been able to complete and may be the only one that I get done this year - I've got a few more I'd like to finish, but we'll see.
So, this card - didn't it turn out cute?  And who says you can't add a little bling to a boys card?! :)
Image - Doodle Dragon Studio - Seasons Dragon
Paper - Coredinations/Green/Black, Reminisce/Micro Clover(and stripes)
Technique - Magic Colored Pencil Technique
Miscellaneous - BLING from Michaels - Recollections, Gold Stickles, Velvet Ribbon & Fiskars Threading Water Punch
Thanks so much for stopping by today.
I'm headed to the hospital to see my dad this afternoon and find out what the update is.  He's supposed to have an ultrasound today because they think he may have a blood clot or infection and the US will help determine if it's one or both.  He's down to 17 radiation treatments left though.  He's such a strong guy.  I've never been more prouder of my dad than I am right now.
Happy Craftin' to you all on this Monday!

Creative Chaos

Howdy All - I've been so bad blogging the last few days. Unfortunately, I don't have anything crafty to share today either - I've been working on a few jobs lately (Baby announcements for my 'cuz Teri who is having their first baby girl next week - YEAH! and several chipboard albums for hire and a class in April.)
Add to that, the SPRING CLEANING BUG that bit me last weekend (yep, I spent just about the entire weekend CLEANING!!!) and if I haven't told you about our new vacuum, you would understand WHY we have the Spring Cleaning Bug. We ended up getting a Riccar canister vacuum a few weekends ago and like Glen says, "It sure sucks". I say it'll suck the white off rice! Funny how this new vacuum is like having a new gaget or gizmo in your studio. Never thought I'd get this excited about a Vacuum.......In anycase, that pretty much sums up what's going on at The Kaymin Kantina!

However, I will share a photo from last summer - because we don't have kids, our cats are our kids. This was Tucker at 3 am the day Glen and I were leaving for Aruba. She'd attached herself to my carry-on (Yah, I know, hard to tell where the cat stops and the bags starts....).
I do hope to have something to show you in a few days. I'm also getting ready for my Entertaining at Home Party next weekend, so I have a few projects to get wrapped up for that as well. Looking to getting the girls together and welcoming SPRING!!
I hope everyone had a nice & safe St. Patty's Day yesterday and are finding creativity and happiness in the warmer weather as the flowers begin to bloom and the grass starts to get green again. Spring, here we come!
Happy Craftin'
