Humor Me Wednesday

It's time to celebrate National Hot Tea Day!!

Olivia got a little Table and Chairs for Sweetest Day that she absolutely loves.

For Christmas, she got a personalized table cloth from her 'Bama Horses (my mom) along with a Melissa & Doug tea set and cutable velcro fruit which she absolutely LOVES!!!

  

And you know what that means?

TEA PARTIES!!!!

We have had MORE Tea Parties since Christmas Day than we've ever had before!

You should see my poor husband with his pink tea cup and pink butterfly spoon!  :)  It is too cute for words.

So, we have some friends that will be visiting next weekend for lunch to enjoy the new kitchen and an after Christmas Christmas, so it was only fitting that it was a "Tea Party Luncheon" that we were having!

Under Construction - Cabinet Install has begun

So today they started installing the cabinets (we're floored just how quickly this is moving!!).  

We Puffy Heart our new cabinets!!!

So the flooring was finished yesterday - quite a difference from the light white washed oak flooring we had before.

Glen and I both LOVE IT!!!  Olivia just loves running back and forth across it!

Kitchen 2016 Update!

Well, it's official, the cabinets have been ordered and will be here before we know it!

AND, that means, we've finalized the kitchen design.

LOVING this and all the storage space!!

Now to empty the OLD kitchen cabinets, purge and see what NEEDS to stay and what can be donated.

"Donated" is one of Livy's new words, along with "I Wuve Ooo"

Fingers crossed for a tiny bit of crafty time this weekend - have some Halloween things for Livy that I need to get created!

Wonderful Remodeling!

So, we're busting out the sledge hammers and remodeling our kitchen this fall!

Okay, so not really, no sledge hammers involved, but our contract is I'm sure elated that we have FINALLY after 4 months, decided on a floor plan, cabinet color, countertop, sink and appliances.

WHEW!

After the arrival of Livy and two years into our 3 person family life, we've decided that we're in desperate need of a kitchen remodel.

While the old cabinets are still  in their old location and the new cabinets have not yet arrived, we've got a BUNCH we're doing to get ready for the construction.

Isn't it amazing just how much STUFF you can collect in a kitchen?

The wonderful folks I work with laugh at me as I make my daily stop in our copy rooms for empty boxes to PACK the STUFF in.  

I know we'll be scheduling several pick ups with our local Purple Heart before the project is finished.

The beautiful thing about this project is that it's initiated another project - more purging and organizing of our finished basement and a more function area that includes a play area for Livy.

That being said, I'll be crafting when time (and space allows), but I'm not MIA, just digging out of the stacks of boxes of donations (and trying to keep a 2 year old from UNPACKING everything I.JUST.PACKED!  

What a game she thinks it is!

Kitchen will include white cabinets, or white-washed wood floor and a fabulous white/beige/gray speckled Corian.  

We found our new table & chairs - a great dark wood contrast against the light cabinets -

Oldie But Goodie @ The Bug!

It's an Oldie But Goodie Thursday at the Bug Blog with Bugaboo Stamps!

This week, I thought I'd share with you Olivia's Second Birthday Invitation (and a few B-day Decor photos too).  She turned two earlier this week - WOW, how the time has flown.  Glen and I can't believe she's two already.

The theme of her party was a Farm Theme.  She has this Little People Barn and Farm animals she got for her first birthday that she just loves!

We took pictures with our guests in front of her Happy Birthday sign & "Barn Doors".

Complete with Cowgirl & Cowboy Hats and Bandanas.

Tables included Red Table Cloths, Burlap and Sunflower Center pieces, complete with Farm Animals and the Number "2" (cut with my cricut...had to dust that off!  Whew!)

Anything But a Card Challenge: Tea Time

It's an Anything But a Card challenge at The Bug Blog today.

Days like today REALLY make me think OUTSIDE the box, but I thought today I might use A BOX for my creation.

I'm a fan of tea - I love hot teas, fruity teas, black teas, Iced teas....If it's tea, chances are I love it!!

One of my FAVORITE places is Teavana.  If you enjoy teas and have never experienced Teavana, it is a MUST.  Two of my most recent favorite blends - Youthberry & Wild Orange Blossom, the second, Mango Black & Limeade Twist.  FABULOUS!!!!

So, I thought I'd whip up a little tea tin that I can keep in my purse, for that perfect 'tea time'.  This adorable little tin is adorned with a Bugaboo Stamps Tea Time.
