Happy Day after Halloween!  

I had to chuckle - Olivia has been telling us for at least 2 months that she wanted to dress up as Elsa from Frozen for Halloween.  SO, we had a dress that could pass as Elsa's.  We picked up the wig so she could LOOK like Elsa.

Guess what?  That little 3 year old mind (can you believe she's 3???) decided at the last minute, that she wanted to wear her Lellow/Orange (as she describes it) Easter dress, no wig.  She would be Elsa that way!  :)  SIGH - best laid plans as a parent you find out don't always work out as planned!  Well, there's always next year!  :)

Well, at least the Halloween card for her special notes box worked out as planned!  :)

So, today in honor of Humor Me Wednesday (which is why I told you the above story), here is her Halloween card!  Complete with Lellow/Orange ribbon!  LOL

If you can laugh at it, you can live with it!

We love making Livy smile (and love when she does).  It's usually followed by a silly face, funny laugh or entertaining antics.  All of which we LOVE!  We have a real character on our hands!

Humor Me Wednesday

So after a little mini-vacation from my crafting, I'm back!

We have enjoyed the past two months tremendously with Livy!  She is getting so big, so fast!

How time flies.  She'll be 21 months old this month!  WOW!

So today, it's a Humor Me Wednesday over at The Bug Blog.

And one holiday I love the thought of celebrating is "Say Something Nice Day" which is TODAY!

I always like to be sure that we say THANK YOU for every little thing.
Growing up, if you received something, the first thing you did was write a THANK YOU note and send it off.
Funny how some things you learn as a kid you carry on into your adult years!  :)

Today my friends is a HUMOR Me Wednesday!

Yes sir'ree, we look for the FUNNY holidays (or sweet ones too) for inspiration.

Well, TODAY I'm finding inspiration in a holiday that can be celebrated this Saturday, March 14.  

Learn about Butterflies Day!

The reason behind this?  Growing up, we use to 'grow' butterflies.  It was a super neat process and Livy's Grandma Horses is excited to share the process with her.  Hence one of Livy's FAVORITE books - The VERY Hungry Caterpillar, complete with a beautiful hand sewn quilt of the same theme that said Grandma Horses made for her before she was born!  

Of course, I digress... :)

In our house it is a special day, because last year on Valentine's Day, we found out that we were having a little girl (we couldn't wait until she was born to find out if she'd be a boy or girl.....we're BIG plan-aheaders).

Holiday Chaos - UGLY SWEATER

Every year we host a Cookie Exchange Swap & Brunch at our house for some of my girlie friends and of course our mamas.  However, when I see UGLY SWEATERS, I often wonder if we should host a silly couples UGLY SWEATER Christmas party!

Humor Me Wednesday

Not only do I have a little HUMOR ME WEDNESDAY project for ya, but also a HUMOROUS story for ya too!
So, I've NEVER been stuck in an elevator....that is, until this past Monday - on one of the hottest days of the year so far in Michigan, during lunch rush, at work....In an elevator with NO Air Conditioning....on a Monday....for 35+ minutes....with 4 other people....

Yep, that's one thing I can check off my Bucket List - Get stuck in Elevator when it's hotter than $#!^ - Yep, been there, done that, no need for the T-Shirt!
At least we can chuckle about it (my hubby loved my text to him from my little 8x8 sweat box).  =)
Okay, so back to our regularly scheduled programming.....

I don't know about you, but I LOVE picking fresh veggies & fruits in the summer - just something about the fresh produce in the summer!
