and the perfect flowers for any special person in your life.

Since my Tulips and Daffodils have been blooming since the beginning of March - and we've broken MANY temperature records so far this month (can you say 80+ degrees in March - UNHEARD OF), I'm all about flowers right now.  Love the look, love the smell, love the colors - Spring really is here (I HOPE).

Well, Jodie has created this new Flower Pot collection that is one of my new flower faves - ranks right up there with my favorite Flower Vases collection that I use for just about every occasion.

Rain Showers . . . .

Bring Oldie But Goodie Flowers at Bugaboo Stamps!  =)

Well, we had two days that it didn't rain here - unfortunately, 2 days is not long enough for the deck and fences to dry out and be painted!  UGH!
However, the Flowers, Grass and Garden are in FULL BLOOM!!!
And THAT is where the inspiration for today's card came from!  =)

We have a friend whose granddaughter was diganosed with Cancer this past February - Carly is 17 and a true fighter.  Even with months of Chemo, a Surgery this week and Radiation on the heals of all of that, she continues to battle through this.  After my dad's battle, there is something to be said for cards that come in the mail and the uplifting support they provide a broken spirit.
Knowing you are in peoples hearts, even when they're too far away to be with you, is an amazing feeling.  I try to send both Marge and Carly cards on a regular basis to remind them we're thinking of them and that they're in our prayers daily.

So today I hope to provide a little support and brighten Marges day with this beauty!
Image - Bugaboo Stamps "Mini Set - Flowers" Collection
Papers - Kraft, Bazzill CS and K&Co Flower Print
Coloring - Copics
Tools - EK Success Border Punch & CM Corner Rounder (had to blow the dust off this baby!)
Extra STUFF - Hero Arts Sentiment, Chestnut Roan Color Box Ink, Dimensionals, Taffy Smooch & BLING

Something really cool I did was to COLOR my bling to make it match.
WAY COOL (I'm easily entertained & excited)!  I'm a HUGE fan now of making MATCHING Bling!! =D

Tulips . . . My Favorite!

Happy Hump Day!!
I'm SO ready for Spring weather to finally arrive.  Monday we enjoyed 64* and rain, yesterday, 38* and wind, I'm hoping for some mild weather today and sunshine (especially since I'll be at the farm tonight tearing down fences and it's not something I want to do in the rain!).
We shall see!
While it's been too cold still for my tulips to start blooming - they're still covered with ice and snow, I'm waiting patiently.
But I thought I'd share with you this fabulous tulip digi from Bugaboo Stamps.  It's been colored and on my desk for months which explains the teal & red color combo.  =D

Not only was I & am I addicted to the teal & red color combo, I think I've become a recent addict to Kraft Paper!

It's the WEEKEND!

HAPPY MAY DAY!!
Wow, can you believe it's already May 1st?!
We were hoping to get to my mom and dad's today - grass is growing, fences need some attention - you know the usual stuff.  And while we had plans to do that today, good ole mama nature didn't cooperate!  But BOY was the sleeping good this morning listening to the rain and thunder!  My favorite sleeping condition!!
We did have a little break in the weather and our flowers are FINALLY blooming, so I thought I'd take a few photos - I love how they turned out and am hoping to use these photos on a card or two.
These line our sidewalk in the front of our house.
I hope your weekend is off to a great start.  We're keeping our fingers crossed for a little nature cooperation tomorrow.
Keep you eyes open too - Shelly's Images has a new release coming out Monday and our new Design Team will be showing off their stuff!
AND, if you dig sketches - over at Scrap-Friendzy, May 3-7 we're kicking off our "TWIST & SKETCH Crop"!  You won't be disappointed with the inspiration there!
Happy Weekend & Happy Craftin'!

Sunny Sunflower

This little number was made in honor of my mom's birthday this past Friday, September 11th.
When I was little, we used to go to Minesota Fabrics (before the JoAnn and Michaels of the world existed).  My mom used to wheel the cart up to this gimundous (yep, that's a word in our house) bin filled with buttons.  Buttons of all shape, color and size.  She would find a button and my mission would be to find the other buttons that matched the button my mom found.  I'm sure many hours were spent over my childhood looking for matching buttons.
So, it seemed appropriate to include buttons on my mom's birthday card.  It's a moment in my childhood that I remember like it was yesterday and I'm sure my mom remembers too.
Card was cut using the Cricut & Design Studio - George and Stretch your Imagination
Buttons were ALL from my button box (the button box that my mom gave me, of course).
Papers are scrappy papers in Deep Meri-Gold, Brown & White from my stash
Ink - Chestnut Roan - Colorbox
Hope you're having a Sunny Shiney Sunday!
Happy Craftin'!

HAPPY SPRING!

Now if only Mother Nature would hurry up and bring on the spring weather!!
In honor of today being the first day of spring, here's a quick photo of the cover of the Flower Chipboard album I've been working on. Not the greatest photo, it's much brighter and fun in person (I'll try to photograph with a white background when I take pics later), but you get the idea. Hopefully tomorrow between NCAA tourney games & cleaning/laundry I can get a few good photos of the entire album.

Paper is We R Memory Keepers, Nonsense collection, flower pot is Cricut WIMG, Circle is George, embossed with D'Vine Swirl Cuttlebug folder. Bloom Where U R Planted was computer generated, colored with Prisms & MCPT. Album has a total of 12 pages including front and back cover. Happy Spring - hope to have more photos tomorrow!
Happy Craftin! Min
