Freebie Friday at Bugaboo!!

HAPPY BLACK FRIDAY!!!

Did you get up early and go Christmas shopping?  Me? NO WAY!!!  I stayed nestled in my bed - it's gettin' COLD here in Michigan.

Since our family celebrates Turkey Day the Saturday after the REAL Thanksgiving, today I'll be headed to the market to pick up all my veggies and begin working on the 'make-ahead' items for tomorrow.

HOWEVER, I did get to play a bit with some of the new Penguins Jodie has created for today!!  Jodie whipped up an adorable set - who said Penguins are just for Christmas?!  

Well, these little penguins are celebratin' a birthday and ready to P-A-R-T-Y!! =)

This is the first time I tried doing a felt flower like this - by coloring it with a Copic Refill.  I used my heat gun to dry the flower, which heated the felt a little bit and caused it to stiffen a bit (I'm very pleased with how this turned out).

We had snow flurries last week and I can only imagine what this week will bring - with snow on the horizon,  today's little ditty seemed fitting - I'm just hoping this isn't me trying to get into work in the near future!  LOL  Dashing through the snow on I-75 is NOT my idea of a GOOD MORNING!

And let me tell you, this was a bit of a challenge for me!!  Pockets aren't something that I use on a regular basis (unless you take into account the pockets I always leave my lip balm in and then run through the wash!)
So, what did I do with this POCKET challenge??
Well, I got out my scrappy tools and whipped up a scrapbook layout about -
The Tie Dye Craze....In Our Back Yard.

If you remember me mentioning the this summer the Tie Dye T-shirt Booth for the Grateful Dead Concert in our Backyard, then you'll smile at the page going in our Album - what's that they say - if it Ain't in the Scrapbook, it didn't happen!  =)

The great thing is Jodie has a super cute Dottie Hippie that is PERFECT for this layout (don't you think).  Heck, I even included a photo of Glen and I in our Tie Dyes on the beach in Punta Cana when we too our Anniversary Vacation, and photos of Glen and Chris creating their works of art!!

Anything But a Card - In Holiday Style?

Okay, so I'm ATTEMPTING to get AHEAD of the holiday season - I get sweaty palms every time I go into a store that has Christmas stuff out - even though some if it has been out since September...Less than 2 months, can you BELIEVE IT?!?!?!

As you know, I've had a super fun time making T-shirts for the kiddos in our family this year.
